Are you eager to engage in dialogue about the difficult issues of our time? Are you looking for a space to discuss topics such as climate change, inequality, and right relations? Looking for a group to connect with foraction? Join us for a weekend of community-building through food and conversation! Feast for the Common Good and Refugia Retreats are partnering to offer a weekend event on personal and collective action. Please note, space is limited: pre-registration is required.
When: Three-course vegetarian meal on Friday February 3rd 6:30 – 9:30 PM followed by a Work That Reconnects workshop on Saturday February 4th 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (can attend both days or Friday only)
Where: Hillhurst United Church (1227 Kensington Close NW)
Who: Friday will be facilitated by Bill Phipps and Ted Reeve from Faith and the CommonGood. Saturday will be facilitated by Jodi Lammiman and Amy Spark from Refugia Retreats. Whether you are well-versed in these issues or are just beginning, all are welcome!
How: Registration and payment is through Eventbrite. Tickets are $50 for the whole event, $25 if you can only attend Friday. If you are unable to register via Eventbrite, please contact the organizers.
Why: We believe Calgarians deserve space and community in which to have the tough conversations of our time. We believe issues of climate change, inequality, and right relations are not only interrelated but must be tackled in unique and compassionate ways. We advocate for honest, respectful, open conversations as we delve deeply into issues of importance for our future.
